Popcorn tree

In Hungary, popcorn was traditionally used to decorate Christmas trees, in the form of garlands. Now I show you a more sophisticated version of using popcorn as Christmas decoration - you can build a Christmas tree with them. The popcorn will give a warm and natural feeling to your tree, and you can add glossy and sparkling accessories to make it more elegant  and stylish.

What you will need:
- white carton for the tree base
- toilet paper roll or roll from paper kitchen towel
- brown paper to cover the toilet roll (I found paper with wooden motiv)
- a piece of foam board or polystyrol (used for flower compositions)
- 1 ceramic plant pot
- pine cones

- 1 bag of popcorn (unflavoured)
- plastic red berries

- glue

How to prepare:
1. Prepare a cone from the white carton
2. Cover the roll with the brown paper and fix it to the cone. I made also a bottom base to the cone, this made it easier to fix the roll.
3. Cut the foam board to fit the size of the pot and fix in inside.
4. Fix the "tree" into the foam board.

5. Prepare the popcorn an glue it one by one on the cone. I applied hot glue on the cone and pushed the popcorns into it, one by one.
6. Decorate your tree as you wish - I glued some plastic red berries on the tree, and filled to top of the pot with little pine cones. I added some little broken popcorn parts on the pine cones, so it looks like snow.
