Christmas tree ornaments collection

Let me show you 3 different techniques to prepare unique ornaments to your Christmas tree - all of them natural looking and easy to prepare. You can prepare them alone or with your kids and design your own unique decorations.

1. Decoupage ornaments
The easiest ones. You need to find napkins with different Christmas motivs on them, and apply a standard decoupage technique with them. (Cut the desired shape from the napkin and remove the white layers of the napkin. Apply decoupage glue on a piece of carton and smooth the napkin on it. Apply the glue also on the surface and let it dry completely. Cut the shape and fix a string on the back.) You can also decorate the ornaments with pearls, ribbons, glitter glue, etc.

2. Salt dough
I prepared these ornaments to look like gingerbread figures that last forever. You need to prepare a salt dough (you can find various recipes on the Internet) and cut them with Xmas cookie cutters. Do not forget to cut a hole for the string. Put them in the oven and let them dry on low temperature. When ready, paint them with dark brown acrylic paint. When completely dry, decorate the "cookies" with a white permanent marker. Finally, apply varnish on the "cookies" and let them dry. When ready, fix a string on the ornaments and decorate your tree with them.

3. Embroidered ornaments
I found these cute pre-prepared kits in Aldi. Inside the packs there were the instructions and everything I needed for the work. There were even little holes for the stiches. But the shapes and the steps are really easy ones, so I think you can easily copy them or prepare your own designs.
