Finally, spring is in the air, and it's time to prepare for Easter. Let's bring inside the awakening nature and decorate our home with spring colours. These cute little eggs are ideal also for your Easter table. The kids will also love their cute faces and enjoy the preparation, while experiencing how the plants grow out of the seeds.
What you will need:
- egg shells
- cotton whool/paper tissues
- herb seeds (e.g. mustard, cress, wheat)
- water
- permanent markers
How to prepare:
1. Break the eggs carefully, cutting only the top of it. You can of course use the inside for breakfast. Wash thoroughly.
2. Draw funny faces on the eggshells with permanent markers. You can even paint the eggshells with acrylic paint if you wish.
3. Fill the eggshell almost to the top with cotton wool or paper tissues (cut into small pieces), and soak it in water. It is not necessary to have excess of water, but the tissues need to be wet all the time.
4. Put the seeds on top of the filling.
5. Keep the filling wet all the time and within 2-3 days, you will see your little garden growing.
